Mars, Effie (Marriage - 16 NOV 1918)
Miss Effie Mars and Sam Lee were quietly married at the M. E. Parsonage by Rev. Lowe in Menomonie on Saturday, Nov. 16, 1918 at eleven thirty a.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mars of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., but formerly lived at Rusk. During the two years she spent at Thorp she won a host of friends and her genial companionship will be greatly missed by all.
The groom is a promising young farmer living in the town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co., where he is well known.
After a bountiful wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Eber Blakley, the happy couple autoed to their home and will receive their friends after Dec. 1.
