Obituary of F. W. Vollrath

Wm. F. Vollrath was born August 9, 1876, the son of Phillip and Louise Vollrath. He was baptized in infancy and was confirmed on March 27, 1891. On June 7, 1905 he was united in marriage with Anna Schoettler. Their union was blessed with four daughters and one son. On December 30, 1928 his wife passed to her reward. The deceased was married for the second time to Clara (Kippenhan) Meier on October 4, 1930. He has always lived in the Town of Warner with the exception of about a year which he spent in the state of Washington. He was well known throughout this community and enjoyed a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

Mr. Vollrath's health was failing for some time, twice in the past six months he was a patient at St. Joseph's hospital at Marshfield. He was called to his eternal home Friday morning, July 8, at 9:45. Heart trouble causing his death. He reached the age of 55 years, 10 months and 29 days (18 Jul 1932).

Those who remain to mourn his death are his widow, five children, Mrs. Erma Seibolt, Mrs. Verna Abel, Mrs. Dorthy Irvine, Phillip and Beatrice all of Greenwood; three step children, Mrs. Esther Henderson, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Grove Mathew, and Harold Meier of Kent, Washington, his aged mother. Mrs. Philip Vollrath of Greenwood, two brothers Rudolph and Henry of Greenwood, two sisters, Mrs. August Schwarze of Greenwood and Mrs. Lean Korp of Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services were held from the West Side Immanuel Reformed church, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. P. Franzmeier, officaiting. The body was laid to rest in the West Side cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were; Mrs. J. N. Kippenhan and son Carol, Sidney, Mont., Mrs. Esther Henderson, Seattle, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Angus Mead, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meier, Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kocke, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhart Klocke, Mrs. Fred Klocke, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Strassberger, Mrs. Carl Strassberer all of Curtiss and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meier of Marshfield.
