Schwan, Martha (Marriage - 2 May 1907)

A pretty home wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Schwan, in the town of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. at five o'clock in the afternoon on last week Thursday. The contracting parties were Miss Martha Schwan and Mrs. Robert Grob, of Merrill, Wis. Rev. William Lange was officiating clergyman who tied the nuptial knot pronouncing the ceremony, which united the lived of these estimable young people.

The wedding was a quiet one, witnessed by only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom and a few intimate friends. Promptly at five o'clock, to the music of the wedding march, played by her sister, Miss Marie, the young couple took their places, where the minister, with an impressive yet simple and exceedingly pretty ceremony made them husband and wife.

The bride was becomingly attired in white and sore white carnations and looked the very queen that her life characterized her to be. The groom wore the conventional black.

After congratulations nice refreshments were served. The evening was most pleasantly passed in a social manner. They received a large number of handsome and valuable gifts.

The bride is well known in this village and is loved and respected by all. The groom is a prosperous young farmer of Merrill, and the young couple left for their future home at that place on Tuesday morning.

It is a pleasure to chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people and this paper wafts to them its warmest congratulations.
