The news comes of a serious affray in the northern part of our county - one that, if in some other state, might lead to hanging. We have not the full particulars but give them as received. It seems that there has for some time existed a bitter feud between a couple of neighbors, Mr. a. B. Ummer and Mr. W. B. Isky. Yesterday they met and some words passed between them. Mr. Iskey, without further provocation, shot Mr. Ummer in the neck and escaped. The victim to this gross outrage is still alive, but in a critical condition. A number of citizens have turned out and are searching for the fiend, and if they find him, look out for hot work. We understand the victim has a family in destitute circumstances.
