Thwing, Clara J. (1 Sep 1869 - 18 Apr 1911)

Mrs. W. E. Thwing of the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis., died Friday, April 18, 1911, of consumption after an illness of ten months.

Clara Josephine Scovel was born Sept. 1, 1869, in Filmore County, Minn. In 1876 she came to Clark County, town of Beaver, with her parents and lived there until 1885, when she was married to W. E. Thwing and then went to Columbia Co., where they lived until Nov. 1899. They moved back to Beaver, Clark County, were she lived until she died. She became a member of the Baptist Church of Greenwood June 5, 1910, and was a faithful believer in Christ to her death.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, five sons and two daughters, David A., Rufus E. Ruth R., Ethelbert R., Myron D. Henry H., Bernice B., Mary M. and Manard E. The funeral was held in the Baptist Church at Greenwood Sunday afternoon, Rev. S. E. Sweet conducting the service.
