Jenks, Carrie (Marriage - 7 Mar 1914)

Word was received here this week of the marriage of Mr. Richard W. Austerman of Waukesha to Miss Carrie Jenks of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. The wedding took place at the Congregational Parsonage at Lake Mills, Wis., where both are engaged as schoolteachers, Rev. L. C. Parch officiating, on Saturday March 7, 1914, at 4 p.m., after which an elegant supper was served, also at the parsonage.

Miss Jenks is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenks, who for a long time have lived at Lake Mills, but for the last three years have been residents of our vicinity. She attended the Milwaukee Normal and the Appleton College, after which she took up teaching at lake Mills. Mr. Austerman is a graduate of the Platteville Normal and is employed as 8th grade teacher at Lake Mills, having been there only during the last term, but during this time won a host of friends. They will both finish their work this year, after which they will undoubtedly go to housekeeping. The newly weds have the best wishes for a bright and happy future from a host of friends in their respective communities, and also at Loyal, where especially the bride is known and has a large number of friends, which she gained during her visits with her parents.
