Fisher, Magdalene (Marriage - 20 OCT 1914)

The Lutheran Church at Veefkind was handsomely decorated Tuesday afternoon in honor of the wedding, which took place at one o'clock. The contracting parties were Miss Magdalene Fisher and Mr. Wm. Lucht, both of the town of Sherman, Clark County, Wis. The wedding march was played by Miss Elsie Conrad, and Rev. E. Kemena of Loyal performed the ceremony.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin and carried a large bouquet, while the bridesmaid wore pale blue.

Little Miss Norma Fisher, a niece of the bride, acted as flower girl, while the witnesses were Walter Oestreich, Martha Lucht and Herman Fisher, all of the town of Sherman, and Elsie Staeble of Milwaukee.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher of the town of Sherman and is a young lady of many graces of mind and person, who is capable of filling the home she will adorn with happiness and will prove to be truly a helpmate and companion by the husband she has chosen to honor with her hand.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lucht of the town of Sherman and is considered one of the substantial and coming young men of this county, who will make his mark as a worthy son of honorable parents.

After the ceremony the young couple went to Marshfield, where they had their picture taken, and upon their return joined the grand reception at the home of the bride's parents. About one hundred families were invited and a glorious time was had by all present.

The young couple will make their home near Globe, where the groom is running a cheese factory. The congratulations on the happy event are numerous and this paper is greatly pleased on this occasion to add its hearty good wishes to those being so freely extended.
