Garvin, Gladys I. (Marriage - 20 OCT 1914)

Mr. Paul Henry Cochran and Miss Gladys Irene Garvin were united in holy wedlock on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1914, at the home of the bride's parents, 904 North Central Av., St. Johns, Ore., Rev. G. W. Nelson officiating. The wedding march was played by Vearl Fahey, a little niece of the bride. The Garvin home was tastily decorated for the event.

Thomas L. Cochran, a brother of the groom, acted as groomsman and Miss Lucille E. Whelan served as bridesmaid. The bride was beautifully gowned in white and carried in her hand a bouquet of white carnations. A large number of relatives witnessed the ceremony. After congratulations had been extended all partook heartily of a most bountiful and delicious wedding supper.

The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Cochran, and a member of the Cochran-Nutting Company, and its treasurer. A young man of good character, capable and industrious, he is highly respected by a large circle of friends.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Garvin. She is a young lady of attractive appearance and genuine worth and has, by her many excellent traits and happy disposition, endeared herself to a large circle of friends. She has for some time been in the employ of Lipman, Wolf and Co. She was the recipient of a large number of beautiful and valuable gifts. After a visit in Seattle and other Puget Sound points, the happy young couple will make their home on South Jersey St., St. Johns. May happiness and prosperity that worthy young people deserve be theirs. (St. Johns Review)

Miss Garvin will be remembered here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) by many people as she was a resident of our village for about 8 years. The Tribune with her many friends extend the heartiest wishes for a bright and happy future.
