Pacholke, Marie "Mary" (25 February, 1896-17 July 1983)

COLBY -- Mrs. John (Marie) Pacholke, 87, Route 2, Cable, died Sunday at Ashland Memorial Medical Center.

Services will be Wednesday at the Rux Funeral Home, Colby. The rev. Robert Everhard will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

The former Marie Fuhrman was born February 25, 1896 in the Town of Frankfort (Marathon County) to Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Caroline Zimmerman) Fuhrman. She was married to John Pacholke April 22, 1914 in Colby. He survives. After their marriage they farmed in the Town of Frankfort for several years, then operated a tavern in Colby, and later were partners with William Will in the Colby Theater. They then moved to Cranberry Lake, Cable. where they have lived since.

Also surviving are a son, Hubert of Cable, a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Ruby) Fulys of Abbotsford; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Goldschmidt of Colby, and Mrs. Gene (Norma) Thiel of Portalas, New Mexico.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, five sisters, a grandson, and a great-grandchild.
