Stecker, Sophia (1836 - Apr 1917)

Mrs. Sophia Stecker, a pioneer resident of Sheboygan, Co., Wis., who came here in 1852 and ten years ago went to Farmville, Va., to live with her daughter, Mrs. Julius Dodl, died there a week ago, aged 81 years. The remains were brought here and the funeral was held on Friday at the German Reformed Church, the Rev. W. F. Horstmeier officiating. Interment was made at Wildwood Cemetery. Mr. Stecker died many years ago and four sons and two daughters survive as follows: John of the town of Herman; William, Spokane, Wash.; Hubert, Farmville, Va.; August, Colby, Wis.; Mrs. Lillian Ballheim, Colby, Wis.; Mrs. J. Wilke, Farmville, Va. (Sheboygan Co. News)
