Wescott, Roswell L. (9 OCT 1893 - 8 Feb 1920)

Roswell L. Wescott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wescott of the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon Co., Wis., died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on Sunday, Feb. 8, 1920, of pneumonia.

Roswell Lyle Wescott was born on the farm in the town of Eau Pleine Oct. 9, 1893, where most of his life was spent with his parents. On June 20, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Cordelia Wicks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Wicks, of the town of Brighton, and to them was born one son, Lyle Don Wescott. Besides his wife and son he is survived by his father and mother and two brothers, Harry and Glen.

Ross was of a quiet and unassuming disposition and well liked and respected by all in the community in which he lived. As a fond parent and husband he never felt so happy and contented as when he was at home with his loved ones.

The funeral services were held at the family residence on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. J. G. Vance of the Methodist Church and the remains laid to rest in the Colby Cemetery.
