(Marriage - 16 JUN 1925) A very pretty
wedding was solemnized at the Catholic Church Tuesday morning, June
16, 1925, Rev. Lachnitt officiating, when Miss Emma Gabriel,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gabriel, became the bride of John
Stoiber, Jr., of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. The church was very
prettily decorated for the occasion in blue and white, the Sodality
colors, of which the bride is a member. Rose Gabriel, sister of the
bride, acted as bridesmaid and Neva Reeves, friend of the bride,
was maid of honor. The groom was attended by Nick Gabriel, brother
of the bride, as best man, accompanied by Raymond Nachtwey of
Dorchester, friend of the groom. Marie Dessl, niece of the groom,
acted as flower girl, and carried a basket of snapdragons and
ferns. She wore a dres of orchid crepe de chine. The bride was
beautiful dressed in white silk georgette crepe, draped over with
white satin and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies
of the valley. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pale green satin
faced canton crepe and a corsage bouquet of tea roses and sweet
peas. The maid of honor was attired in a dress of peach satin faced
canton crepe and also wore a corsage bouquet of tea roses and sweet
peas. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the
bride's parents, where a wedding reception was given. Relatives and
nearest friends were present. Mr. J. E. Lyons was chosen as honored
guest and escorted the bridal party to church, back home, and, in
the evening, to Dorchester, where a free wedding dance was
given. The bride is a
daughter of a prominent family living east of Colby, Wis. and has
been employed at Willmette, Ill., the past six years. She is also
one of the popular girls of her community and has many friends who
wish her much happiness in her married life. The groom is a
resident of the Dorchester community and is known as one of the
most prominent and prosperous farmers of that place. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
