(Marriage - 15 Jul 1926) A.C. Wharfield,
judge of Marshfield's municipal court, and Helen Bird, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tesmer of Colby, Wis., were united in marriage
at the Central Methodist Episcopal Church at St. Paul at noon last
Thursday. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. F. A.
Lore, Mr. and Mrs. Wharfield returned to Marshfield and will make
their home at the Mansion House temporarily. Mr. Wharfield, who
is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Wharfield, 601 South Vine St., is
now serving his second year as judge of municipal court. He was
elected to the office in 1925, succeeding Atty. R. E. Andrews. In
the municipal election this spring, Mr. Wharfield received the
hearty endorsement of the voters of Marshfield for the office of
Justice of the Peace to fill the unexpired term of the late Charles
Hahn. In April of this
year, Mr. Wharfield became a candidate for the office of state
assemblyman to succeed E. E. Royce, but withdrew from the contest a
few days ago. In addition to his court duties, he is also engaged
