Guetschow, Eleanore (Marriage - 11 Sep 1926)

A pretty wedding was solemnized at the Catholic Parsonage, Rev. Lachnit officiating, Saturday morning at ten o'clock, when Miss Eleanore Guetschow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guetschow, became the bride of Bert Heise, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Heise. Miss Leone Fecker, the bride's cousin, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Lester Guetschow, brother of the bride.

The bride was becomingly attired in navy blue flat crepe and carried a corsage bouquet of pink roses and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid wore a dress of channel red flat crepe and carried a bouquet of roses and snapdragons.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for relatives and a few friends, the home being nicely decorated in blue and white for the occasion.

Tuesday morning, the newly married couple left for Milwaukee, where the groom is employed and where they will make their future home.

Both the bride and the groom are well and favorable known to people of Colby, Wis. and vicinity, and their many friends wish them a long and pleasant married life.

I passed this by my 92 year-old mother-in-law, Magdalen Shumaker (nee FECKER) and she was at the wedding. As it was read to her, she remembered the details including the bride's dress. Leone's father, George, and Maggie's father, William, were brothers.
