Mrs. Fred Olson Wins Automobile

The Colby Drug Store's Automobile Contest closed Friday evening at 9 o'clock, Mrs. Fred Olson of Cherokee, being the winner of the Ford car and is receiving the congratulations of her many friends. Besides the automobile four other principal prizes were awarded as follows: Bracelet watch to Irvine Eggebrecht, Ivory Toilet Set to Floyd Eder, Ladies' Lavalliere and chain to Frank Sill, Ladies' Locket and chain to Mrs. Ray Marsh. Besides these prizes twelve dinner sets were given away to the following: Mrs. Fred Olson, Irvin Eggebrecht, Floyd Eder, Frank Sill, Mrs. Ray Mrsh, John Reeves, Miss Malena Grambort, Miss Dorothy Carver, A. J. Schmitt, Miss Feda Bleichroth, Joe Will and Anton Kading.

Out of thirty-four contestants who entered the race, twelve stayed with it to the last and all worked harmoniously and honestly but with lots of vim. Mr. Briggs in referring to the contestants, spoke of them as very fair and broad minded people with whom it was a pleasure to deal.

The campaign was conducted on a strictly fair basis, everything promised the contestants was delivered to them, the amount of votes was not increased or changed during the campaign, thus giving all contestants a fair show at all times. The race was fast and furious toward the last.

The contestants are also satisfied with the way the campaign was conducted, most of them having already expressed themselves as being entirely satisfied in that respect. The counting was accurately done by Mr. R. G. Salter and E. L. Wicker. The telephone wires were kept very busy by anxious friends asking for the result of the count, from 9 to 11 Friday evening.
