Will, Mr./Mrs. William (Gold Anniv- 12 Feb 1928)

Mr. and Mrs. William Will, Sr., were very pleasantly surprised by their many friends on Sunday evening, Feb. 12, 1928, the occasion being the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. The big event was held in the Colby, Wis. Opera House and it was filled to capacity with friends and relatives. Mayor Lyons spoke a few words of congratulations, after which Hudson's Blue Moon orchestra played some splendid dance music. The bride and groom of fifty years stepped to the strains of the music, after which all joined in and spent a most enjoyable evening.

Anna Silbernagel was born at Herman (now Ada), Sheboygan Co., Wis., on June 17, 1855, and Wm. Will was born in the same town on Feb. 6, 1858. They were married at St. Joseph's Church at Herman Feb. 12, 1878, and on Feb. 19 moved to his farm in the town of Colby, Clark County, Wis. They moved back to Sheboygan Co. in April 1893, on the Silbernagel farm, where they resided for five years. Then they moved back to Colby and conducted the Colby House for three years, moving back to their farm in July 1901. They celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Feb. 12, 1903. They moved to Colby from the farm in Dec. 1920.

Mr. and Mrs. Will have seven children and sixteen grandchildren.
