DIED

(Spelling correction from newspaper copy - Wilhelmina not Wihlmina)

Miss Wilhelmina Thur died at the home of her sister -in-law, Mrs. Fred Thur, in Cleveland township, Saturday, Jan. 9th, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 21 days. Miss Thur suffered a stroke of paralysis a few weeks ago, which, together with her advanced age, made recovery impossible. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the German Lutheran church, interment being made in the Cleveland township cemetery.

Miss Thur was born in Hermanchohe, Germany, March 18, 1829. She had three brothers-Lewis, John and Fred all of whom preceded her to another world, and two sisters Mrs. Caroline Miller and Mrs. Sophie Frank. In 1865 she came to America with her brother Fred. At an early age she met with an accident that made it necessary to amputate one of her lower limbs, and made an active life impossible. Her home has always been with that of her brother Fred and family.

(Vickie adding - known siblings: John and Fred Thur, Caroline - married names Maves, Draheim, Miller, Sophia Frank. Parents John Thur and Maria Rohrdanz)
