Rumors are about that the owners of the dogs recently killed by being poisoned, will commence action against the city to recover damages.

Ellie (?) returned home from St. Paul where she has been to have her eyes treated. She was accompanied home by her aunt. Mrs. Maxwell

Nellie Hillyer who has been at Minneapolis having her eyes treated, returned home Friday, having had a cystic tumor removed from her eye.

E. D. Bowman, Emery Breed and wife of Loyal, drove to this city Tuesday. Mr. Breed has been purchasing a farm in Loyal and came down to close the deal.

C. M. Breed left the city Tuesday morning for Tennessee, where he goes to estimate and inspect the timber on 15,000 acres of heavy timber land, for N. C. Foster of Fairchild. LATER: He got as far as Merrillan and received word by wire to return, as the party was not ready to accompany him.

 

Orville Egbert, who for a year or more has resided in Barron, rode over from that place to this city on his wheel last Friday, a distance of 152 miles. He made it in little less than a day.

 

Ralph Leason and sister Mrs. Lettie Nason, gave a party at the home of Ald. Leason Tuesday evening. Mrs. Nason has recently rented the Crocker residence on the North side to which place the guests repaired for a dance.

 

Mrs. O. H. Freeman, an aged lady of 70 summers of Sacramento, Cal., a sister of George A. Ludington, arrived in this city Monday for a visit with her baby brother. They have not met since 1881, when this lady made an overland journey from Watsau, Ill to California by ox team, making the trip in five months and two days, while it took her less than four days to make her return trip east to visit her brother.
