Harold Tucker LOYAL-Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Harold Tucker, 75, of 119 Gwinn St., Loyal, who died unexpectedly at 10:47 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted the previous day. The Rev. Chester J. Osowski will officiate and burial will be made in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Friends May call at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, after 2 p.m. Sunday. The Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite the rosary there at 3 p.m. Sunday with the wake service scheduled for 8 o’clock that evening. Harold Tucker was born in the Town of Eaton March 5, 1900 the son of George and Mable Pierce Tucker. After completing his education at prosperity School, he did farm work at Veefkind, continuing to work there after his marriage to Loretta Ratelle, Nov 27, 1923, at St. Balthasar Catholic Church, Loyal. Their golden wedding anniversary was celebrated in 1973. On March 1, 1925, the Tuckers moved to Loyal. For a year he worked on the drayline and than began work in the Post Office. In 1929 he became acting postmaster and on March 1, 1935, began as fieldman for Loyal Canning Company. On March 1, 1942, he started as a bookkeeper or O. W. Trindal Co. and in 1945 started driving Semi for the same company. His retirement in 1960 was caused by a disability. Mr. Tucker had served on the Village Board and later on the City Council, his last term expiring in 1970. Surviving besides his widow are two daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Kathleen) Englebretson, Loyal, and Mrs. B. A. (Beverly) Bethke, Jr., Wausau; a brother, William Tucker, Colonial House of Colby; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Bessie) Blanchard, Seattle, Washington, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
