Carole Sizer

Carole B. Sizer, 78, Marshfield, died Monday, July 28, 2003, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, for one hour prior to a 4 p.m. memorial service at the Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Lindy Nelson will officiate. Music will be provided by James and Mary Wittman.

Carole B. Pyszczynski was born Oct. 7, 1924, to Peter and Martha (nee Wieczorek) Pyszczynski, in Milwaukee. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic Academy, Milwaukee. She married James Sizer on Nov. 27, 1948, in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee until moving to Greenwood in 1970. They moved to the Marshfield area in 1985. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed as a caseworker for the Clark County Department of Social Services. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, knitting, traveling, cooking, reading, music, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Peter Charles Sizer, Tomah, Janice (Wolfgang) Ruhnau, Nekoosa, Steven (Therese) Sizer, West Bend, Judy (David) Jasurda, Loyal, and Amy Breu, Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Erin, Michael, Daniel, Katie, Elizabeth, Joanna, and Steven; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Nicole.

Preceding her in death was her husband, James; and two brothers, Richard Palmer and Thomas Pyszczynski.

Memorials May be given to the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
