Larsen, John P. (Nov 1848 - 1 Apr 1928)

John P. Larsen, aged 79 years and 5 months, died at the home of his nephew, O. A. Petersen in the village of Withee, Clark County, Wis., late Sunday night. Death was primarily due to old age. He had been in failing health for the past year or more, but it was not until about three months ago that he was confined to his bed.

Mr. Larsen had been a resident of this county for the past thirty-two years, the first twenty-six years having been spent on a farm in the town of Hixon. Six years ago he came to Withee and from that time on made his home with his nephew, at whose home he died. His wife preceded him in death fourteen years ago.

He leaves to mourn, two brothers, Charles Larsen of Withee, and Chris Larsen of Minneapolis, a nephew, O. A. Petersen, Withee, and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Petersen, Minneapolis and Mrs. A. H. Beecher, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the home of Mr. Petersen at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock from the Danish Lutheran Church, Rev. Petersen officiating. Burial took place in the Danish Church Cemetery.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Mrs. Sophia Petersen, Minneapolis, and Chris Larsen, Minneapolis.
