Pfalzgraf, Bernice 1916 - 2002

Bernice A. Pfalzgraf, 86, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Center in Marshfield.

A memorial service with family and friends was held on Monday, October 28, 2002, 2:30 p.m., at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbottsford. Reverend Robert Everhard officiated. Inurnment will be in the Fountain of Life Memorial Garden in Tucson, Arizona. Maurina Funeral Home of Abbottsford assisted the family with arrangements.

The former Bernice Alberta Ewert was born on January 15, 1916, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Parge) Ewert, in Fond du Lac. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. She and August H. Pfalzgraf were united in marriage on July 28, 1936, in Fond du Lac.

Bernice and August owned and operated Medo-Farms restaurant in Abbottsford from 1956 until the restaurant was purchased by her son and family in 1970. They then retired to live in Tucson, Arizona. Bernice returned to reside in Abbottsford with her son and daughter-in-law after the death of her husband in May of 2001. Bernice enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family.

One daughter Margene (Doug) Bergstrom of Wausau and Scottsdale, Arizona; three sons: James (Judith) Pfalzgraf of Thorp, John (Suzanne) Pfalzgraf of Abbottsford, Kenneth (Molly) Pfalzgraf of Glendale, Arizona; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Nibbe of Fond du Lac and Margaret (Sam) Stacy of Merced, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband August Pfalzgraf on February 28,2002.
