Eppers, John Sr. (20 NOV 1850 - 23 Jul 1930)

John Eppers, Sr., was born at Paris, Kenosha Co., Wis. on Nov. 20, 1850, and passed away July 23, 1930, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 3 days.

He had been in poor health for the past six years, and several weeks ago fell and received injuries from which he did not recover.

In 1879 he was united in marriage to Julia Neff at Racine, Wis., and moved from Kenosha to Clark County in 1901, and resided on a farm northwest of Withee, Clark County, until twelve years ago, when they sold out and resided there until the death of his wife five years ago, and for the past several years made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Rohan, south and west of the village of Withee.

He leaves to mourn, two sons, John of Withee, Jacob of Stanley, and one son Nicholas, having preceded him in death eighteen years ago.

He also leaves three brothers, Michael of Evanston, Ill., Nicholas of Elkhart, Ind., and Valentine of Racine.

The funeral was conducted from the Catholic Church at Withee on Saturday morning, with Rev. Father McGuire officiating. Interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.
