The Rev. Myron E. Christensen, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at in the Hansen Chapel for Walter H. Jakobi, 77, of 1210 E. Fourth St. He died at 1:55 a.m. Monday at Norwood Health Care Center. Burial wil be in York Center Cemetery, Clark County. Friends May call at the funeral home from 2 - 9 p.m. today and until time of services on Wednesday. Mr. Jakobi was born July 8, 1898, in Wood County and attended the Clark County Public Schools. He worked for Weyerhaeuser Company for 23 years until his retirement in 1968. On Sept. 21, 1932, at Neillsville, he married the former Fannie Lawrence, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Dale, Hales Corners, and Larry, Marshfield; two daughters, Mrs. Guy (Joyce) Langfeldt, Marshfield, and Mrs. Herb (Shirley) Stolt, Rockford, Ill.; four brothers, Willy, Bakersfield, Calif., Fred, Unity, John, Greenwood, and Roland, Granton; two sisters, Mrs. William Margaret) Denzin, Medford, and Mrs. Vincent (Anita) Schmitt, Belgium, Wis., and 17 grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. Mr. Jakobi was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Jakobi, Walter H. (8 July 1898 – 31 May 1976)

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, for Walter H. Jakobi, 77, of 1210 East Fourth St., Marshfield, who did early Monday morning in Marshfield. The Rev. Myron Christenson of the Wesley United Methodist Church was to officiate. Interment was to be in the York Center Cemetery.

Walter Jakobi was born July 8, 1898, in Wood County. His marriage to the former Fannie Lawrence too place September 21, 1932, in Neillsville. Mr. Jakobi had worked at the Weyerhaeuser plant in Marshfield for the 23 years preceding his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four children, Dale Jakobi of Hales Corners, Mrs. Guy (Joyce) Langfeldt of Marshfield, Mrs. Herb (Shirley) Stolt of Rockford, Il., and Larry Jakobi of Marshfield; and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by The following brothers and sisters, Wilie Jakobi, Bakersfield, Ca.; Mrs. William (Margaret) Denzin, Medford; Fred Jakobi, Unity; John Jakobi, Greenwood, Roland Jakobi, Granton; Mrs. Vincent (Anita) Schmit, Belgium, Wi.
