PETER N. HANSEN PIONEER RESIDENT BURIED

Peter N. Hansen, a pioneer resident of the Owen community for 40 years, passed away Saturday, April 19, while hospitalized at St. Joseph's hospital at Marshfield. He was 65 years, five months and two days of age. Yesterday afternoon, April 23, final respects were paid to him by many friends whom he had won the admiration of during these many years, when funeral services were conducted from the Griebenow Funeral Home. Rev. C. S. Matthews, Owen, officiated and burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Courtland Hamel, G. Millikin, Wm. Parks, Elmer Nelson and Walter Mitchell.

Born in Denmark on November 10, 1881, Peter N. Hansen came to this country as a youngster of three years of age in 1884 with his parents, who settled in Waupaca county. As a young man of twenty-one years he came to Clark County in 1902. Four years later in 1906, he and Mary Wenzel were united marriage and for a year resided in Clark County, and then moved on a farm in Taylor county, where he had successfully farmed and contributed to the welfare of the community as an upright citizen for the past 40 years.

Surviving him are his wife, Mary, three children, a son Neal, Withee two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Fern) Brooks, and six grandchildren, all of Withee; three brothers, Andrew, of Ruby; George, New York City; and Harry of Withee; two sisters, Mrs. Art Harris and Mrs. August Johnson of Waupaca.
