Braman, Charles (26 JUN 1847 - 18 Dec 1905)

Charles Braman, one of our old and much respected citizens, died Monday morning, Dec. 18, 1905, after a few days illness caused by a stroke of paralysis. He had been cutting wood last Friday and was returning home; he was found unconscious in the buggy and was taken to his home. Medical aid was summoned but was of no avail, and he passed to the great beyond at about nine o'clock Monday morning. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. H. W. Hills, and the interment was in the Houghtonburg Cemetery.

Mr. Braman was born June 26, 1847 in Carlysle, Lorain Co., Ohio, and moved to Iowa in 1851. In 1856 he came to Wisconsin and has been a resident here ever since. Several years ago Mr. Braman suffered a fall and never wholly recovered from the injury received at that time. He leaves a wife and four children, besides a sister and several brothers, and a large number of friends to lament his death.
