BLUNCK-BRUCHERT WEDDING (July 25, 1953)

White flowers marked the pews and bouquets of flowers were placed on the altar for the service at 8 o'clock Saturday evening in Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, which united in marriage Miss Betty Ann Blunck and Leon F. Bruchert, Withee.

The Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen officiated at the candle service and performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blunck, and the groom's mother is Mr. Fed Bruchert, all of Withee.

Approaching the altar on the arm of her father, the bride was attired in an entrained gown of nylon net over satin featuring a satin bodice with long sleeves that extended to points over her wrists. Rose point lace formed the sweetheart neckline, and detailed the skirt, which was styled with a two tier lace peplum. A tiara of brilliants and seed pearls secured her finger-tip veil of imported illusion edged with a wide border of the same type lace. She carried an arrangement of white carnations and white satin ribbon.

Attending the bride were Miss Arvilla Noah, Greenwood, as maid of honor, Miss Karen Habighorst, Owen, as birdesmaid, and Miss Lois Blunck, Withee, sister of the bride, as junior bridesmaid.

All were attired in powder-blue satin floor-length frocks with net overskirts and satin boleros. Heart-shaped bouquets of white carnations edged with blue ruffles completed their ensembles.

Larry Blunck, Withee, brother of the bride, was best man, and William Ammentorp, Withee, was groomsman.

Guests were ushered to their places in church by Melvin Smith, Owen, and Kenneth Frost, Withee.

Jerry Nielsen, Withee, was ring bearer.

The bride's mother was attired in a pink silk dress with blue and white accessories, and the groom's mother wore a teal crepe dress with black accessories. Each had a white gardenia corsage.

A reception and luncheon was held immediately following the ceremony at Nazareth Assembly Hall.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Withee High School. The bride is bookkeeper at the Will Implement Co., Owen, and the groom is assistant cashier at the Withee State Bank.

When the couple left on a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the bride donned a navy blue suit with white carnations.

Out-of-town relatives and friends at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Blunck, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Haire and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Blunck and daughter, Judy, Mr. and Mrs. William Blunck, and Mr. and Mrs. James Hansen, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bruchert and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bruchert and son, Milwaukee.
