Shefchik, Joan (20 April 1968)

Miss Joan Shefchik and Larry A. Kornack exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church, Kenosha. The Rev. Eugene H. Henke solemnized the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Emil Shefchik Sr. route 1, Loyal and Mrs. Arthur Kornack, Racine.

The bride given in marriage by her father was seen in a gown of crepe and venise lace with tain and a venise lace and lily of the valley leaf plateau to hold her illusion veil. She carried a cascade of miniature white carnations, white roses, a white orchid and ivy.

Mrs. Larry (Jean) Menehan, twin sister of the bride was matron of honor and Mrs. Michael Doodad and Katie Kornack, the bridesmaids, all of Racine.

They each carried colonial bouquets of pink and white daisies with feathered white chrysanthemums. They wer seen in floor length skimmers of pink karate and Venice lace, and matching braid and pearl plateaus to complete their ensembles.

Jack A. Noppe, Racine, served the groom as best man. Robert Kwas, Chicago, Illinois and Emil Shefchik, Jr., Loyal were groomsmen. Louis Monty and Elmer Shefchik ushered.

A buffet supper and reception followed the church ceremony.

The bride is a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School and her husband graduated from high school in Racine in 1958. Both are employed by J. I. Case Company, Racine, where the couple will reside.
