Leatherdale, Attila L. (13 JUN 1867 - 20 MAR 1933)

Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, March 23, at 2 P. M. for Attila L. Leatherdale, who died at Marshfield on Monday morning, March 20, a heart attack following an operation being the cause of his death.

The Rev. Hall, Greenwood had charge of the services and burial was in the family lot in the Loyal Cemetery.

He was born in Lincoln, Neb., June 13, 1867, and when three years old came to Clark county with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luke Leatherdale. They settled at Spokeville, on the farm which was his home, with the exception of a few years in Spencer, until his marriage to Mary Boise, which occurred April 30, 1898.

After their marriage they lived in Spokeville a few years and moved to their farm south of Spokeville until about 19 years ago. Since that time their home has been in Loyal.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Leatherdale, three of whom died in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son Burton A., one grandson, Donald, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

The deceased was the last to go of four sisters and one brother.

Mr. Leatherdale has been a member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge of Loyal for over 30 years.

As a man he was upright in all his dealings, a kind neighbor and a loyal friend.
