David A Lewis, age 48, of Neillsville, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, in the town of Weston.

David Arthur Lewis was born on Jan. 28, 1957 in Eau Claire, the son of Darol and Margaret (Reber) Lewis. At a very early age they moved to Neillsville, Wis. He attended and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1975. He then enlisted into the United States Navy and served from Nov. 11, 1975 to Nov. 9, 1979. He was united in marriage to Marcia Tresemer on June 17, 1978 in Neillsville, Wis. They lived in Virginia until his service was complete. They moved back to Neillsville and David worked for Kuhl Implement. He then drove truck for 15 years for Brunzlick Trucking of Augusta. He was currently employed at Grassland Dairy of Greenwood in the maintenance and parts department.

David was also in his 2nd term as the Chairman of the township of Pine Valley. His favorite pastimes were hunting and riding his Harley Motorcycle with friends and taking trips out west on it, however, his true enjoyment was his granddaughter, Alexis whom he loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; one son, Joshua, of Neillsville; one daughter Pam (Scott) Sill, of Holmen; his parents, Darol and Margaret Lewis, of Neillsville; three brothers, Todd (Sue) Lewis, of Granton; Bradley (Bernadette) Lewis, and Glen (Deb) Lewis, of Neillsville; he is also survived by a granddaughter, Alexis Sill and two step-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Tayler Sill and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his father and mother-in-law, Ed and Nancy Tresemer, of Neillsville; two sister-in-laws, Judy (Dennis) Bucholz, of Neillsville; Diane (Tom) Firnstahl, of Colby; and a brother-in-law Tim (Lori) Tresemer, of Neillsville, Wis.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents.

A Memorial service for David was held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Craig Conklin officiated. Providing music were Eileen Zank organist and Corrine Armitage, soloist. Neillsville Veterans Council was in charge of the Military Rites.
