Alexander, David Sr. (10 Aug, 1954 - 1 March 2004)

David Alexander, Sr., 49, Marshfield, formerly of Colby, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at home under Ministry Home Health Hospice Care.

Mr. Alexander was born August 10, 1954, in Marshfield, to Walter and Elaine (Brecker) Alexander.

His marriage to Cheryl Buetsch took place on April 26, 1982, in Unity. She survives.

He was formerly employed by the City of Colby and the Village of Unity. He was employed with Mann Brothers at the time of his death.

Mr. Alexander enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and camping. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield.

Survivors besides his wife include his mother, Elaine Holmes, Neillsville; one son, David Alexander, Jr., Marshfield; three daughters, Kellie (Todd) Denzine, Phillips, Shannon Walkup, Marshfield, and Shauna (Jeremy) Weinfurtner, Spencer; four grandchildren; one brothers, Dale Alexander, Stratford; and two sisters, Marlene (Pat) Duell, Loyal, and Marie (Shel) Heck, Greenwood.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Unity. The Rev. Peter Muschinske will preside.

Pallbearers will be Dale Alexander, Joe DuLong, Chester Trychta, Todd Denzine, Jeremy Weinfurtner and Mike McCarron.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Community Funeral Home, Colby, assisted the family with arrangements.
