Karnopp, Emma (1887 - 1956)

Thorp - Funeral services were held in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Emma Karnopp, 68, who died of a heart attack Aug. 17, in Theda Clark County Hospital at Neenah. The Rev. Robert Olson officiated. Burial was made in South Green Grove cemetery [St. Luke’ Cemetery].

Pallbearers were Chester Hebert, Walter Schuette, Hugo Schuette, Alvin Goucher, Ulysses Cain, and Joseph Pachel. Mrs. Hubert Schouers sang "In The Garden," and "I’m But a Stranger Here." Organ accompainiment was played by Mrs. Walter Reink.

Among those from out of town who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Becker, Mrs. Amanda Becker and Mrs. Paulina Rabenhorst, Maribel; Mrs. Cora Becker, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. William Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Becker and son, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wolffersdorf, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Delo and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Inafeldt and Mrs. Richard Raasch, West Kewanee; Mrs. Richard Schuette, and George Schuette, Burlington; Mrs. Ruth Borycki, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garnopp and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Knapp, Menasha.

Karnopp, Emma Wilhelmine (22 Sept. 1887 - 1956)

Thorp - Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church here for Mrs. Louis (Emma) Karnopp, 68, who died at 11 p.m. Friday at Theda Clark County Hospital, Neenah. She had been hospitalized there since suffering a coronary attack Aug. 4.

The Rev. Robert Olson will officiate at the rites and interment will follow in the cemetery at South Green Grove. Friends may call at the Thorp Funeral Home until time of services.

Mrs. Karnopp was born Emma Wilhelmine Becker Sept. 22, 1887, in Manitowoc County and was married to Louis Karnopp April 20, 1911, at Maribel. They then moved to a farm in the town of Beaver in Clark County, where Mr. Karnopp died Nov. 25, 1930. Since then Mrs. Karnopp had been making her home with her children.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Elda) Neumann, Spencer, Mrs. Victor (Linda) Belo, Milwaukee, Mrs. Bernard (Alice) Raatz, Unity, and Mrs. Frank (Esther) Bachal, Loyal; two sons, Clarence of Thorp and Wilbert of Menasha; two brothers, William, Manitowoc; and Henry, Maribel; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Rabenhorst, Maribel, and Mrs. Richard Wolffersdorff, Milwaukee; and 28 grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
