Frane, Alvin (18 Jan. 1908 - 1964)

Colby - Alvin Frane, 56, town of Colby, died at his home late Saturday evening, after being in ill health for many months.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. John B. Pinion will officiate, and burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The body will repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby from this evening until time of services. A Christian Mothers Society rosary service will be conducted there at 8 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a general rosary service at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alvin Frane was born Jan. 18, 1908, in the town of Colby, and had farmed there his entire life except for two years which he spent as at trucker in the Chicago area. His marriage to Lila Hardrath took place in 1941, in Chicago.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis, Colby; two daughters, Jeanette and Mary Jane at home; his father, Victor Frane, Wittenberg; four brothers, Arthur, Abbotsford; Edward, Royal Oak, Mich.; Vincent, Owen; and Donald, Colby; three sisters, Mrs. Matt (Lucille) Allar, Colby; Mrs. Myron (Evelyn) Kneiss, Cyrene, Mo.; and Mrs. William (Katherine) Roohr, Medford, Ore.

He was preceded in death by a brother and his mother.
