Lynch, Richard (1 Dec. 1959 - 16 Jan. 1935)

Richard Lynch, the son of John and Nancy Argraves Lynch, was born at Fairview, Mercer County, Penn., Dec. 1, 1859, and died after a lingering illness in the town of Levis, Jan. 16, 1935. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 75 years, one month and 15 days. When a small boy, he came with his parents to Melrose, Wis., where they lived for about two years, when they moved to Clark County, which has been his home ever since.

In 1883 he was united in marriage to Augusta Klopf. To this union were born three children, Ida, Mrs. Herman Dahl, of Dayton, N. Y.; Clara, Mrs. Theo. Bornholdt, of Gowanda, N. Y.; and Gladys, Mrs. Aug. Kreier of Miles City, Mont. On July 19, 1897, Mrs. Lynch preceded him in death.

On Aug. 24, 1898, he was united in marriage to Pauline Bieneck. To this union where born three children, Leda Lynch of Neillsville, Merton who preceded his father in death one year ago, and Walter, who is at Mt. View Sanitarium at Wausau, Wis.

On Mary 29, 1918, this union was also dissolved by death. On Nov. 17, 1919, he was united in marriage to Tily Johnson, who is left to mourn his death. He also leaves one brother, Abe Lynch, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cummings, of Neillsville, and Mrs. Nettie Ely, of Kansas City, Mo., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren besides numerous others relatives and friends.

Mr. Lynch was one of the pioneers of Clark County working in the woods and logging camps, and later going into business in Neillsville, Wis. When still a young man he engaged in farming and this has been his occupation up to the time of his death with the exception of six years during which he lived in Neillsville, Wis.

He was a kind husband and loving father, a willing and courteous neighbor and leaves to host of friends many of them dating back to childhood days. The funeral was held at the Schiller Funeral Home Saturday and burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery. The pallbearers were J. W. Short, Robert French, H. Riphenburg, Max Opelt, Geo. Frantz and Geo. Bryan.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Herman Dahl and Mrs. Aug. Kreier. The daughter Clara and son, Walter, were unable to attend win to ill health.

To whom it may concern, I'm sorry about the death of Richard. I never new him. However I have noticed that one of his pal bearers is a Robert French. I have been working on my genealogy and would like to get in contact with Mr. Robert French. If it is possible please have him email me at dan.french@invitrogen.com

Thank You,

Daniel C French
