Cade, Lewis L. (29 FEB 1888 - 16 DEC 1906)

Lewis Lorell Cade died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Cade, at Coloma, Waushara Co., Wis., on Sunday, Dec. 16, 1906. The remains were brought to the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I.K. Cole, and the funeral held from the M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. G.W. Austin, Tuesday, Dec. 18th, at two o’clock p.m. He was laid to rest in the Colby Cemetery beside his little sister, Jessie.

Lewis Lorell Cade was born in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., Feb. 29, 1888. When two years old his parents removed to the city of Neenah, where he lived until the winter of 1894, when his parents returned to this city. Here, the following ten years of his life were spent. During this period he received instruction in the city schools and formed the ties which have bound him so close to the hearts of his many sorrowing friends. Two years ago he removed, with his parents, to Coloma, where he won the hearts of all who knew him.

After a brief illness he succumbed to an attack of cerebro spinal meningitis.

Of this bright young spirit, called to the other world, it can well be said, that his was a life of love, hope and duty; of ceaseless devotion to those about him who enjoyed its sunshine. In the Church and Endeavor, in the ranks of his many friends, and in his home, will his bright smile and word of cheer be missed; none other can fill his place.

The bereaved parents and sorrowing friends will find a drop of comfort in this, that for such a life so well lived the reward will be great.
