Flick, Harold A. (Dec. 27, 1933 - Nov. 29, 1994)

Harold A Flick, age 60, of Black River Falls, died on Tuesday evening, Nov. 29, 1994 as the result of a semi-truck accident near Elmhurst, IL.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1933 in Fairchild, to Harold S and Louise (Olson) Flick. He was raised in Fairchild and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from Jan. 10, 1952 to Jan. 6, 1956. He married Judith Duchow in Neillsville on March 31, 1956. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the Neillsville area for three years, in Racine for 18 years, and then they moved to Black River Falls on Nov. 1, 1976. He was a mechanic for 28 years, and since 1983, he has been an owner-operator semi-truck driver. He was currently driving for Transport America which is headquartered in Eagen, MN. He was a past member of the Teamster’s Union, a member of The Assembly of God Churches in both Black River Falls and Alma Center. He was a very devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving him is his wife, Judy; two sons, Brian (Cheryl) and Brett (Tina) both of Black River Falls; and one granddaughter, Alyssa; five brothers, Arlen (Colleen) of Racine, Richard (Betty) of Osseo, Ronald (Linda) of Fairchild, Douglas of Fargo, ND, and Eugene (Nancy) of Jim Falls; and a sister, Shirley (Byron) Bertrang of Fairchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Harold A Flick were Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. from the Black River Falls Assembly of God Church. The Rev. John Nehs officiated. Private family committal services for Judy, Brian, Brett and their families only, were in Riverside Cemetery Black River Falls. There was no visitation. The family prefers memorials be given to the church of your choice.

Torgerson’s Funeral Service of Black River Falls was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Milo Tande, Eldon Brown, Jerry Chandler and Dewitt Becker.
