Rev. Thos. Bigger of St. Croix Falls, is assisting Rev. A. P. Adams in conducting revival meetings at the M. E. church this week.

Last week was a hard one on railroads on account of heavy winds causing snow to drift. Trains were several hours behind time every day.

Max Kann is in town with an assortment of heavy farm horses which are selling rapidly. Secure a bargain by giving him a call at the Commercial House, barns.

The parochial school in the town of Edson, Chippewa county, was destroyed by fire on Saturday morning last. The building was a large two-story frame valued at $3000.00. The insurance is $1,500 on building and $800 on contents.

The Thorp Base Ball Club have made arrangements and will give a mask ball at Hipke & Gerbing's hall on Friday evening Feb. 10th. This is their fourth annual ball and all previous occasions have been marked successes. Orders for suits may be left at Synder's.
