Kyle, Laura C. (25 JUL 1864 - 17 MAY 1909)

Mrs. Laura C. Kyle of the town of Frankfort, Marathon Co., Wis., died at the asylum in Wausau, Monday evening, May 17th, 1909, at 8:30, aged 44 years, 10 months and 19 days.

Laura C. Swan was born in Hicksville, Defiance Co., Ohio, July 25th, 1864; she was united in marriage with Peter Kyle July 2nd, 1882, who survives her, and with three children, Raymond C., Earl A., and Golda E., mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother. Five children blessed this union, two, Wilbur, an infant, and Harry G., preceded their mother to that better land. Also a widowed mother, Mrs. Perry Swan; one brother, Adam Swan of Dorchester, and one sister, Mrs. E.A. Dickinson of Colby, deeply mourn their loss. She was beloved by all who knew her.

The funeral was held from the M.E. Church in Colby, Thursday afternoon, May 20th, 1909, Rev. J.A. Moats officiating, and the large number who accompanied the remains to Colby cemetery, gave proof of the high esteem in which she was held in this community.
