Hecker, Hildegarde (27 MAY 1891 - 13 AUG 1909)

Died, at her home in Appleton, Wis., Friday, Aug. 13th, 1909, of sugar diabetes and heart trouble, Miss Hildegarde Hecker, aged 18 years, 2 months and 13 days.

Hildegarde was born in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.) May 27th, 1891, where she lived the greater portion of her life. She accompanied her parents when they moved to Appleton about five years ago, which has been her home since. She was a girl of quiet and retiring disposition and admired by her family and friends. The remains were brought to this city on Saturday afternoon and the funeral held from the M.E. Church, Sunday, Rev. J.A. Moats officiating, which was attended by a very large crowd of relatives and friends. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Colby Cemetery. The funeral was a particularly sad one as the deceased was just rounding out in the life of womanhood, and expected to be married in the near future. She leaves to mourn her death, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hecker of Appleton, three sisters, Mrs. Chas. P. Tesmer of this city; Mrs. Geo. Eder of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Florence Schlictling of Appleton; two brothers, Henry Hecker of this city; Dealo Hecker and her alliance husband, Ben Lindow of Appleton, who were all at her bedside when she died.
