Gielle, Cora (28 MAY 1908)

Miss Cora Gielle was married today at Bessemer to W.P. Hoppen, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Schettz. The young couple arranged their wedding as somewhat of a surprise to their friends, and the ceremony took place just outside of the state so that their many friends would not know of the event until after it had occurred. Mr. and Mrs. Hoppen leave this evening for a ten day wedding trip to Milwaukee and other points, and upon their return will occupy a residence at 519 7th Av. East. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gielle, and has resided in Ashland practically all of her life.

She is a popular young lady and greatly esteemed by her acquaintances. Mr. Hoppen is an express messenger on the Wis. Central Railway, holding a responsible position with National Express Company and he and his bride have the best wishes of many friends in the city. (Ashland News)

Will and his bride arrived here (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.) Tuesday, for a couple of days visit with his parents and friends. They are on their way to Milwaukee and promised to stop for a few days on their return. The Phonograph joins Will’s friends in best wishes for their future happiness.
