Holeton, Mary M. (11 NOV 1908)

A pretty home wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Holeton, in the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., at 6:30 o’clock Wednesday evening, Nov. 11th, 1908. The contracting parties were Miss Mary Maude Holeton and Mr. Sigurd Albert Jerdee of Star Prairie, Rev. C.P. Andrews was the officiating clergyman who tied the nuptial knot, pronouncing the ceremony which united the lives of these estimable young people. The wedding was a quiet one, witnessed only by the immediate relatives of the bride and groom, and a few intimate friends. Promptly at 6:30, the music of the wedding march, played by Miss Elizabeth DeLap, the young couple took their places beneath a very pretty floral arch where the minister with an impressive yet simple and exceedingly pretty ring ceremony, made them husband and wife.

The bride was attended by Miss Ella Attridge and the groom by his brother P.E. Jerdee, both of Star Prairie. They were the recipients of many handsome and valuable gifts.

The Phonograph acknowledges the receipt of an announcement, and joins Maude’s Colby friends in congratulations and best wishes.
