Zuzelski-Pepera, Ksawera (1864 - 26 JUN 1934)

After an illness of two weeks, Mrs. Kszwera Zuzelski-Pepera passed away on June 26th, 1934, at the home of her son, Joseph Zuzelski.

She was the daughter of Frank Olsziewski who lived in the vicinity of Warsaw, Poland. At the age of twenty-three she married John Zuzelski. Shortly after, they came to America and made their home in Troy, New York, where they lived but a short time, moving to Syracuse, N.Y. They left Syracuse subsequently and moved to Chicago, Ill. Their stay at this point was very brief. They then moved to Oshkosh, Wis., where they lived for several years, after which time they moved to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., where they engaged in farming.

In April of 1910, John Zuzelski died. In May of 1926, Mrs. Zuzelski married John Pepera. They separated two months previous to her death, and she returned to her former home on the farm which is now occupied by her son Joseph.

She was taken ill suddenly. When her condition was pronounced grave, her son, Stanley Zuzelski of Milwaukee, and her two daughters, Mrs. Natalie O’Brien of Elgin, Ill., and Mrs. Elsie Telford of Los Angeles, Calif., were summoned. Natalie arrived in time to see her mother alive, but Stanley and Elsie were too late. She leaves behind two other daughters, Mrs. Mary Pawlak ad Mrs. Ramie Mroz, and a son, Joseph Zuzelski, all of Thorp, Wis.

The funeral took place from St. Hedwig’s Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m., June 29th, Father F. A. Kulig officiating, interment following the services in Pozen (Old St. Hedwig’s) Cemetery. The pallbearers were; Joseph Mamajek, Szym. Wojciulius, Florian Fialkowski, John Sumiec, Ludwig Malecki and Mike Kozykowski.
