Crowley, James B. (15 MAR 1855 - 2 JUN 1935)

James B. Crowley, aged 80 years, 11 months and 26 days, died at his home here on Sunday morning of apoplexy, suffering a stroke on Friday.

Deceased was born in Peterboro, Ontario, Canada, on March 15, 1855. He was married to Rosann Cassidy and the couple came to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. forty-five years ago, where Mr. Crowley worked in the lumber camps and on river drives during the early days, and has since been a resident of Thorp.

Mrs. Crowley and the following children survive: Patrick and Mrs. Plinney Warren, Owen; Mrs. E. Berendsen, Antigo; Mrs. E.S. Jacobson, Thorp; Mrs. J.E. Knott, Minneapolis; Miss Margaret Crowley, Mrs. J.F. Murry and John Crowley, Thorp.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating, interment taking place in the parish cemetery.
