Oehler, Cecil H. (31 March 1902 - 1 Feb. 1986)

Abbotsford - Services for Cecil H. Oehler, 83, of 104 W. Linden St., Abbotsford who died Saturday at the Continental Manor Nursing Home will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, Wis.

The Rev. Robert Everhard will officiate. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and from 8:10 a.m. Tuesday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford and then at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Oehler was born March 31, 1902 at Thompson, Iowa, the son of Ambrose and Nellie (Sperring) Oehler.

He married Alice Baker Dec. 24, 1928 in Wausau. She survives.

He worked for the state Department of Natural Resources for a number of years. He also worked for Hines and Roddis Lumber Mills for several years while living in Park Falls. He moved to Abbotsford in 1953 where he owned and operated Oehler Heating & Sheet Metal, retiring in 1968.

He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and one of the founders of the Abbotsford Sportmen’s Club.

Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, Donald, Fond du Lac; three brothers, Clinton, Eugene, Ore, Irving, Abbotsford, and Orval, Campbellsport, two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Ceclia) Jacobson, Forest City, Iowa, and Mrs. Edward (Nellie) Tischendorf, Dorchester, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter, Betty, four sisters, one brother, and one granddaughter.
