An early afternoon marriage ceremony performed Monday, Dec. 23rd at the parsonage of the Rev. James Ogden, Marshfield, united in marriage Miss Valda Verl Truax, Spencer, and George Townley Drake, Loyal.

The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Truax, was dressed in a brown tailored frock with a gold button trim. She carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.

Miss Gizella Truax, Ravinia, Ill., who attended her was attired in a brown dress set off by silver buttons. Mixed flowers comprised her bouquet.

The groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Drake, Loyal, was attended by Paul Snyder, Granton.

Supper was served to the bridal party at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs., Drake will make their home immediately with the groom’s parents at their farm northeast of Loyal.
