Miss Linda Jean Suttner became the bride of Dennis A. Schommer before an altar adorned by pink gladiolas and white carnations on May 1, 1971. The 2 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Emil Hodnik in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Suttner and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schommer, all of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.).

Linda chose for her wedding a silk organza gown with Venetian lace and pink ribbon trim, a Camelot silk illusion veil with Venetian lace and pink ribbon. She carried a colonial bouquet of baby pink roses, white carnations and baby's breath, with pink ribbons.

Attending the bride were Miss Christine Suttner, Abbotsford, as maid of honor; Miss Joan Suttner, Abbotsford; Mrs. Pat Julka, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Lynne Wojner, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Midge Schommer, Wauwatosa. They were attired in pink lace Edwardian style dresses with green velvet ribbon, pink picture hats, and carried white baskets of min daisies, yellow mums, pink roses, and baby's breath.

Jerry Schommer of Wauwatosa served as best man. Groomsmen were Dennis Suttner, Abbotsford; Jerry Wojner, Abbotsford; Jim Hallada, Butler; and Robert Mantel, Brookfield.

The flower girls, Miss Lisa Suttner of Abbotsford, wore a dress similar to the bride's attendants. Tom Archambo of Abbotsford was ring bearer.

A reception for 200 guests was held at the Colby Hotel after the ceremony.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Abbotsford High School. She attended Taylor County Teachers College in Medford. Her husband graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1968 and Wausau Technical Institute in 1969. He is employed as an assistant credit manager of Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
