Hickok, Marriet (20 OCT 1839 - 18 MAR 1912)

Mrs. Andrew Hickok, for thirty-six years a resident of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., died at her home in this city, at 8:30 o’clock, Monday evening, March 18th, 1912, from general debility. Mrs. Hickok has been confined to her home for the past several years. She was a good neighbor and always had a kind word for all.

Deceased was born in New York State, Oct. 20th, 1839. She was married in the latter part of the 50’s, to Mr. Stacey, who died during the Civil War. She was married Sept. 13th, 1867, to Andrew Hickok, and soon after came to Wisconsin. Thirty-six years ago they came to Colby to reside. Her husband departed this life about sixteen years ago. She is survived by a brother residing at Waupaca, and three children, Mrs. W.L. Parkhill of Polly; Mrs. Geo. Ward and Chas. Stacey of this city.

The funeral is being held this Thursday afternoon from the M.E. Church, Rev. Wm. Marsh officiating. The remains will be laid to rest beside those of her husband in Colby Cemetery.
