Johnson, Pearl (28 DEC 1895 - 29 APR 1978)
HUMBIRD, Clark Co., Wis. - Mrs. Pearl C. Johnson, 82, Humbird, died Saturday at a Virginia Hospital. She had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. fred Olson, for the past five weeks. She was formerly of Greenwood.
The former Pearl C. Danielson was born Dec. 28, 1895 in Chippewa Falls and received her education there. She was married to J. Arthur Johnson who is deceased.
After marriage they lived in Greenwood before moving to Humbird. They owned a hotel and later farmed.
Surviving are two sons, Karl of Kenosha and Andrew of Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Deanette) Olson, Virginia; and one sister in Florida. She was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara.
Services were Wednesday at United Church of Christ in Humbird, the Rev. Albert Ebert, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.

Johnson, Pearl C. (28 December 1885 – 29 April 1978)
Mrs. Pearl C. Johnson, 82, Humbird, formerly of Greenwood died April 29, at a
hospital in Virginia where she has been visiting at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Fred Olson, the past five weeks.
Mrs, Johnson, the former Pearl C. Johnson, was married to J. Arthur Johnson, who
preceded her in death. After their marriage, the Johnson’s lived in Greenwood
before moving to Humbird. They at one time owned the hotel, where Chubb’s
filling station is now and later farmed on the present Edward Degenhardt farm.
Among those surviving are two sons, Karl of Kenosha and Andrew of Marshfield,
and one daughter Mrs. Fred (Deanette) Olson, Virginia, a number of grandchildren
and one sister in Florida.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. May 3, at the United Church of Christ in
Humbird. Burial was made in the Mentor Cemetery in Humbird. The Rev. Albert
Ebert, pastor, officiated. Organist was Nelda Stuve and soloist Mary Ann
Johnson. Casketbearers were Janus, Michael and Thomas Johnson, Randall
Zschernitz and Marvin and Duane Scholze. The Jensen Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
