Susan C. Severson (Bodenhagen), 68 of Hawkins, WI, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at her home.

She is survived by 3 children: Jessica & Jason Kirwin of Donnelly, MN, David Severson of Hawkins, Jennifer & Scott Kempen of Mercer, WI, 5 grandchildren: Guy Kempen, Walker Kempen, Morgan Kirwin, Brenna Kirwin , Collin Kirwin and 1 brother: Robert Bodenhagen of Ogema, WI.

A funeral service for Susan Severson will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hawkins with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins. Friends may call on Friday, June 21, after 4:00 P.M. at the Nash - Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, WI and again on Saturday morning at the church one hour prior to the service.

Susan Cecilia Severson (Bodenhagen), 68, of Hawkins, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at her home.

Susan was born on Jan. 3, 1951, to Edwin and Sotiria (Romas) Bodenhagen, in Burlington. She was baptized on Aug. 4, 1957, at Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. In 1959, she moved to Ogema.

Susan and Dennis Severson were married on May 15, 1971. She then moved to Hawkins, where she was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her three children, Jessica (Jason) Kirwin of Donnelly, Minn., Dennis Serverson of Hawkins and Jennifer (Scott) Kempen of Mercer; five grandchildren, Guy Kempen, Walker Kempen, Morgan Kirwin, Brenna Kirwin and Collin Kirwin; and her brother, Robert Bodenhagen of Ogema.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dennis.

Susan enjoyed working on the farm, driving her skid steer around, taking care of her dog and chickens and touring the farm on her 4-wheeler.

Funeral services for Susan will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hawkins with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Friday, June 21, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, and again on Saturday morning at the church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins.
