Fisher, Joseph (14 JAN 1854 - 27 SEP 1914)

Joseph Fisher, prominent citizen and businessman of Abbotsford, Wis., passed away at his home in that village, Sunday morning, of typhoid fever, after a short illness, in the 61st year of his age.

Deceased was born in New York City, Jan. 14th, 1854; came to Fond du Lac with his parents when a boy and engaged in farming. He married Dec. 25th, 18881, to Matilda Bollinger. He moved to Colby with his family in 1899, and lived on the farm now owned by Ernst Gosse. Later he moved to Abbotsford and in Oct. 1907, entered in the general hardware business. He was highly respected as a businessman and citizen. He leaves a widow and three children to mourn his death.

The funeral was held from the residence, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Calvert.
